"A widower struggling to contain an adder infestation on his farm takes his only daughter to university on the day she leaves home." Beginning with a farmer stamping on a nest of snake eggs in his field at dawn, this short film uses visual metaphor and folklore to explore the emotional complexity of a simple moment in a parent's life; a child leaving home. A moment made all the more powerful by the father's isolation and status as a widower.

An opening extract from a short horror tale about a teacher's assistant at a Navy boarding school in the 19th century. A sample of my historical ficiton.

This is a 13 page extract of a feature film script entitled "The Guerrilla Archaeologist". A feature film about a man who is employed by the museum to break into protected sites and uncover lost knowledge by conducting secret night digs. This extract comes early on in the film, immediately after the main character, Sandy (a large man in his mid 40's) has returned from a night dig.
